WATCH: Chargers' Rivers throws pick, makes up for it 50 yards later

Published Dec. 20, 2015 5:51 p.m. ET

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers was on the hook for an ugly interception Sunday for all of 10 seconds.

That's how long it took Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones to haul in his pass, run in 50 yards the other way and fumble it -- right in the waiting arms of Rivers.

Not a bad way to get your team to forget about your throw into triple coverage.

No one will remember the pick or bring-back, though. They'll remember Rivers rolling away from the scrum, watching the ball hit the turf, and seizing his shot at instant redemption.
