The New Orleans Saints have signed cornerback Greg Fassitt from their practice squad and waived recently acquired tight end Tory Humphrey.

The move, announced shortly before the Saints played Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marked the first time Fassitt had been assigned to a 53-man regular season roster after spending the past three seasons on the practice squads of Chicago, Tampa Bay and New Orleans.

Fassitt, who is 5-foot-11, 186 pounds, played in college at Grambling State in north Louisiana.

Humphrey, a fourth-year pro, signed with the Saints as a free agent in the past week. He spent the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers.
