Saints agree to terms with CFL safety Marcus Ball

METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club and safety Marcus Ball have agreed to the terms of a three-year contract.

The 6-foot-1, 209-pound Ball has played two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He played in collage at Florida State, Pearl River Community College and Memphis.

During the past CFL season, Ball was credited with 69 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions.

He spent his final two college seasons at Memphis, starting both years at free safety. He also appeared in 13 games with Florida State in 2006 and `07.
