Russell Wilson 'sprained his knee a little bit' against the 49ers
The Seahawks had no trouble with the 49ers on Sunday during a 37-18 home victory, but there could be trouble on the horizon depending on the extent of Russell Wilson's knee injury.
Wilson left in the third quarter after Niners linebacker Eli Harold came down on him following a sack. After a brief exit, Wilson came back in to finish that drive, which ended with a field goal to extend Seattle's lead to 27-3. Backup quarterback Trevone Boykin played the rest of the way.
Pete Carroll said afterward that Wilson "sprained his knee a little bit," according to the team's website. Wilson said he'd have an MRI, but expects to be "good to go" to play next week.
Carroll also said that Wilson intends to play next week, and that he could have returned to the game had it been necessary. Wilson, now in his fifth NFL season, has never missed a game due to injury.
