Report: Alleged beach umbrella tussle leads to assault charge for Eagles' Bradham

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham turned himself into Miami Beach Police on Monday, charged in the beating of a hotel worker last week.

According to NBCPhiladelphia.com, citing statements in the police report, a group of six people argued with an employee of the Hilton Bradley Hotel over how long it took to bring them an umbrella they paid for. The argument then became physical, and the employee allegedly sustained cuts, including one on the back of his head, when a glass bottle was smashed over it.

The six people then fled the scene in a vehicle, according to the report, but a phone found at the scene and a receipt showing Bradham paid for the umbrella with his credit card was turned over to police.

Bradham, a fourth-round pick of the Bills in 2012, started 38 games in four seasons before signing a two-year contract with the Eagles in March.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Bradham will report to camp on time Wednesday, and the Eagles have issued a statement:
