Reports: Redskins' Morris to interview for Falcons coaching staff

The Washington Redskins have granted defensive backs coach Raheem Morris permission to interview for the Atlanta Falcons coaching staff, according to multiple reports.

What role Morris will be interviewing for is still unclear, FOX Sports Insider Mike Garafolo reports.

The Falcons are reportedly interested in Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to fill the head coaching void, but coaches on teams still in the playoffs are not allowed to be hired until the season is done, per NFL rules.

Atlanta fired Mike Smith, who went 66-46 during his seven-year tenure with the team.

Morris was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach from 2009-2011, posting a 17-31 mark during his three-year run.
