Pro Bowl 2017: How many Chiefs make cut?

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 8:16 p.m. ET

The 2017 NFL Pro Bowl rosters get announced on Tuesday night. How many Kansas City Chiefs will be making the trip to Orlando?

Let’s get this out of the way right now. Hopefully, the answer to the above question is zero, because they are all going to the Super Bowl. However, if they shock all of us and don’t do something that hasn’t been done since 1969, we have the question still at hand.

So how many Chiefs should be on the roster? Well, the obvious answer is four. Eric Berry and Marcus Peters are arguably the best players at their positions. Berry has a real case for Defensive Player of the Year and Peters is so dominant that teams refuse to throw at him. Yet he still has five interceptions.

On the offensive side of the ball, Travis Kelce is a sure bet. He leads the league in receiving yards and receptions at the tight end position. If he doesn’t get his second consecutive nod, there should be an investigation. Lastly, Tyreek Hill is a no-brainer. Hill has 10 touchdowns and has been a terror for opponents both on offense and special teams. He’ll go as the returner.

Now, onto the more dicey ones. Does Derrick Johnson get the vote even though he’s out for the season? How about Dee Ford, who has been quiet recently but was terrific most of the year, racking up 10 sacks?
