Photos: NFL players to support charities, raise awareness with custom cleats

The NFL uniform policy is strictly enforced, with the league often fining players thousands of dollars for deviating from the dress code, namely for the liberties they take with their cleats.

But this week players will actually be encouraged to express themselves using their feet by participating in the "My Cause My Cleats" campaign, which invites players to raise awareness and support for causes close to their hearts by wearing custom cleats.

According to the NFL, more than 500 players plan to participate in the campaign with several players sharing their custom creations on Twitter. 

Players will be able to earn money for their respective causes by auctioning off their cleats through NFL auction.
