Ramon Foster not sure price will be right for Pittsburgh return

Left guard Ramon Foster would welcome a return to Pittsburgh, if the money is right.

Foster, who has started 87 games for the Steelers since entering the league in 2009, is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Knowing that it will likely be his last shot at a lucrative multi-year contract, Foster is looking to cash in.

Via 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh:

"For most athletes, when it’s your last time around, of course this will be the most money anybody will make in their entire life, as far as playing football…you’ve got to take that opportunity when it’s there," Foster said. "I'm sure the Steelers will do their part, as far as coming to the table with something nice."

Foster is also aware that the Steelers have 20 players headed for unrestricted free agency, including left tackle Kelvin Beachum, who figures to command a high price on the open market. While Foster considers Pittsburgh his home, he realizes that he may not have a choice but to move on.

"I’m not sure right now. The thing is that the Steelers have a lot of stuff that they have to take care of, and me being a free agent, that’s an open market opportunity right there.

"I love being in Pittsburgh. But, the situation, the business part of this sport…it can get kind of cringe-y with everything that goes into it...It’s definitely a home feel there, But, the situation has to be right."
