Martavis Bryant recalls teary farewell to rehab with Ben Roethlisberger

Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant exploded in his season debut in Sunday's 25-13 win over Arizona. He just wishes it came five games sooner.

Bryant, who missed four games due to suspension and a fifth because of a knee injury, had six catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns. After the game, he recounted an emotional talk with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as he prepared to depart for rehab in Houston with former NBA player and coach John Lucas.

"I started crying and everything because it meant a lot for me for him to come out and show me that he cares," Bryant said via PennLive.com. "He let me know that I was down there for a reason, saying I had to go down there and make sure I take care of myself and make sure I get myself back together as a man."

While Roethlisberger wasn't in uniform to celebrate Bryant's big game, the duo shared another big hug on the sideline. Roethlisberger plans to practice this week with the hope of throwing passes to Bryant on Sunday in Kansas City.
