Three Steelers are Pro Bowl bound, including Ben and Brown

A trio of Pittsburgh Steelers were named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday, with a few notable snubs left behind.

To no one's surprise, Antonio Brown will be making his third straight trip to Hawaii, and fourth of his career. Brown leads the league with 1,586 yards despite a quiet three-game stretch in October when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was out with a knee injury.

Speaking of Roethlisberger, he was named to his fourth Pro Bowl and second in a row despite missing four games and parts of two others. Roethlisberger is leading the NFL in passing yards per game with 336.9, 18 more than second place Drew Brees.

Joining Brown and Roethlisberger is right guard David DeCastro, who has been the team's best offensive lineman this season. DeCastro, the 24th overall pick in 2012, will be making his first Pro Bowl appearance.

Defensive end Cameron Heyward and running back DeAngelo Williams are among two of the more notable snubs from Tuesday's announcement. Heyward has been Pittsburgh's best defender, a workhorse up front with 7 sacks in 14 games.

The 32-year-old Williams has turned back the clock filling in for the injured Le'Veon Bell. Williams has 799 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns over eight starts during his first season in Pittsburgh.

Steelers fans are hoping none of the players have to make the trip to Hawaii, since that would instead mean a visit to Santa Clara, Calif. for Super Bowl 50.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 31 in Honolulu, Hawaii, a week before the Super Bowl.
