Chiefs might not get a chance to beat Peyton Manning's Broncos -- ever

Published Nov. 10, 2015 7:17 p.m. ET

The Chiefs will get their first -- and perhaps their last -- chance to beat Peyton Manning as a Bronco.

They've posted a bagel against "The Sheriff" in seven tries. A loss on Sunday would drop them to 0-8 against the legendary passer, who might contemplate retirement this upcoming offseason.

It might've never been this dire if the Chiefs could finish games. Case in point: The scoop-and-score heartbreaker Chiefs fans watched in Week 2.

The Chiefs couldn't run out the clock on Manning in September. Similarly, they couldn't stop him in 2014, 2013 (even as a 9-0 team), or 2012.

Now, the clock is running to see if they can get a single win vs. No. 18 at all.
