Peyton Manning’s touchdown-less Sunday shouldn’t have happened
Demaryius Thomas should send his quarterback a thank-you card this week.
Peyton Manning is catching all the flak for a dismal scoring day — and the Broncos receiver isn't hearing his share for a surefire touchdown drop.
It happened early in the third quarter. Thomas shook a defender on a post route and Manning delivered a throw to him in the back of the end zone.
The Pro Bowler just dropped it, securing a scrutiny-filled week for No. 18.
“I just have to make that play,” Thomas told KUSA's Mike Klis. “That's one drop for me that I shouldn't have had.''
