Patriots sign cornerback Tarell Brown

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) The New England Patriots signed free-agent cornerback Tarell Brown on Wednesday. Terms of the deal weren't announced.

The 30-year-old Brown spent last season with the Oakland Raiders after seven years with the San Francisco 49ers.

Brown has made 61 starts in 114 career games with 295 total tackles, 11 interceptionsm 59 passes defensed and two fumble recoveries. Last season for Oakland, the former Texas player started all 14 games he played and finished with 55 total tackles and four passes defensed.
