Patriots' Rob Gronkowski not expected to play Sunday

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is not expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, the team announced.

Gronkowski was limited in practice all week due to a hamstring injury and officially listed as “questionable” on the team’s injury report. He, along with offensive lineman Nate Solder and Jonathan Cooper, did not travel with the team on Friday.

The seven-year veteran caught 72 passes for 1,176 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Martellus Bennett is next up on the depth chart for New England at the position.

The Patriots and Cardinals kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
