CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — With injuries piling up on the offensive line, the Panthers have signed veteran free agent offensive tackle Chris Clark.

Carolina officially placed starting right tackle Daryl Williams on injured reserve Wednesday with a knee injury. The move means both starting offensive tackles are now on IR. Carolina placed left tackle Matt Kalil on IR before the season opener against Dallas with a knee injury.

Williams and Kalil will each miss a minimum of eight games.

Clark, an eight-year NFL veteran, joins the Panthers after spending the last three seasons with the Texans. He has played in 106 games with 53 starts. He started eight games in 2017 before being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
