Panthers defensive end Frank Alexander says he won't appeal his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

In his first public comments since being suspended on May 2, Alexander says ''I've done it, so there ain't nothing to appeal.''

Alexander didn't want to discuss specifics of the suspension but says it has been an ''eye-opening experience.''

Alexander, a fourth-round draft pick in 2012, played in 12 games and had 15 tackles and one sack last season. He played in 16 games a rookie with 2.5 sacks.NFL
