Myles Garrett, the Texas A&M defensive end projected by many as the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, made his strongest statement yet on where he wants to play, and it’s no surprise: The Dallas Cowboys.
Garrett, in a video posted to ESPN.com on Friday, made a plea to owner Jerry Jones and coach Jason Garrett.
“I need you to take Tony Romo, take a couple picks and give ’em to Cleveland so you can pick me up. Please. I’d love to play in Dallas. Just make it happen.”
ESPN’s Pat McManamon wrote that the video was recorded Dec. 8 at the College Football Awards show and that it was Garrett’s response to a question about which NFL team he’d most like to play for. It was all in good fun, wrote McManamon, who pointed out that Garrett said he’d play for the Browns in an interview with Houston outlet KRIV-TV.
