Newman out for Bengals, McLendon sits for Steelers

Published Dec. 15, 2013 7:49 p.m. ET

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Terence Newman is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Steelers due to a sprained knee.

Newman did not practice this week. He injured the knee in last week's 42-28 win over Indianapolis. Dre Kirkpatrick will start in place of Newman against the Steelers.

Wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, RB Rex Burkhead, G Tanner Hawkinson, TE Orson Charles, WR Ryan Whalen and DT Christo Bilukidi are also inactive for the Bengals.

Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel will miss his second straight game with a left foot injury, and Ziggy Hood will fill in. Nose tackle Steve McLendon is also inactive with an ankle injury. He will be replaced by Al Woods.
