Jets' Todd Bowles open to suggestions for kick return duties

Published Oct. 14, 2015 4:05 p.m. ET

The New York Jets rank towards the bottom of the league in kick return average and have experimented with several guys back there. Unfortunately, Todd Bowles and the coaching staff have yet to find the perfect player to take over the duties.

Right now, Zac Stacy is returning kicks, but he's only averaged 21.2 yards per return. Due to the team's struggles to run back kicks, Bowles is looking for answers.

"I’m willing to take recommendations," Bowles told reporters on Wednesday when asked about Stacy returning kicks.

Stacy hasn't been terrible, but he's never been known as a return man. In fact, his six attempts this season are the only ones of his career. It doesn't sound like the Jets will make a change right now, but it could happen if Stacy doesn't give them a boost in the coming games.
