Darrelle Revis says Tom Brady 'suckered in' Jets defense

The New York Jets entered Week 7 as one of the top defenses in the league against the pass. Unfortunately, a date with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Sunday changed that.

Brady shredded the Jets' defense for 355 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, while also overcoming nine drops by his receivers. Brady has looked like an MVP this season, and it showed on Sunday against a stout Jets defense.

Former Patriots, and current Jets corner, Darrelle Revis, says Brady essentially played games with the Jets' defense and caused them to change things up.

"We tried to switch things up on Tom and show him different looks, but Tom is great," Revis said via Rich Cimini of ESPN. "He suckered in the defense. That’s what he did down the stretch."

The Jets were in it for most of the game, and even had a shot to win it as they led in the fourth quarter, but Brady continued to complete pass after pass for chunks of yardage. With the way Brady spread the ball around to a handful of different receivers, it was nearly impossible for the Jets to stop one particular guy.

Particularly in the fourth quarter, Brady was almost perfect. He completed 14-of-17 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns -- one of which gave the Patriots the lead late in the game. No team has found the answer to stopping Brady, and the Jets were no exception.
