Giants do something they haven't done since 1951

For the first time since 1951, the New York Giants had a kickoff and interception returned for a touchdown in the same game, per the FOX Sports broadcast team. Both plays ended up being the deciding factors in the Giants' 27-20 Week 7 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

The interception return came first when the Giants trailed 13-10 early in the third quarter. Defensive back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie jumped a short-breaking route to make the interception and he was off to the races for a score.

After the Cowboys tied the game at 20-20 later in the fourth quarter, return man Dwayne Harris gave them a 27-20 lead with his 100-yard kickoff return. Harris displayed impressive burst on the play, and the rest of the Giants' special teams deserve credit for executing their blocks.

The last time it happened was during the 1951 NFL season against the New York Yanks -- the football team. The Yanks had developed a rivalry with the Giants after the Giants' owner refused to let the Yanks share the New York area with them at first. The Yanks didn't last, and the rivalry died with them, but in Week 7 of the 2015 season the Giants were able to once again pull of the impressive feat against a longer-lasting division rival.
