Every year NFL teams load up their training camp rosters with a large group of rookies who have a chance to prove themselves. For the New Orleans Saints in 2015, there were 22 rookies who made it to training camp, and apparently, quite a few of them were able to make an impression.
That’s pretty exceptional. And as Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com also points out, all nine of New Orleans’ draft picks were either on the team or on injured reserve. As for the 13 undrafted free agents the team brought in, seven of them are either on the team, on IR or signed to a futures contract.
Impressive stuff, and it shows that the Saints are doing many things right when it comes to not only the draft process, but also the post-draft process as well.
