Danny Amendola on spectacular catch: 'I didn't even see the ball'

When the New England Patriots were up 37-32 late in the fourth quarter against the Buffalo Bills, Bill Belichick elected not to run the ball and kill the clock. Instead, he let his star quarterback Tom Brady air it out and attempt to put more points on the board.

With just over three minutes left in the game, Brady took a shot deep down the left seam for Danny Amendola who hadn't recorded a catch to that point. Well, he made his first catch of the game and it was a great one.

Amendola's catch is definitely an early candidate for catch of the year, but it didn't happen without a little bit of luck. Brady talked to Amendola about the catch after the game.

"I was talking to him after and I said, 'Danny, that was an unbelievable play.' And he was like, 'I didn't even see the ball. I looked up and it was right in the sun. So I just threw my hands up there,'" Brady said on WEEI, via ESPN.

Regardless of how it happened, it was an incredible catch by Amendola. Not only was he battling Bills cornerback Nickell Robey, but he had the sun working against him, as well. It was his only catch of the game, but he definitely made it count.
