Pats' Danny Amendola in hot water with neighbors because of carport

Neighbors: can't live with them, can't live without them. Well, that's not entirely true, but there's never been a shortage of neighborly feuds in society. Heck, NFL players upset their neighbors sometimes.

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has found himself in a bit of hot water recently thanks to a metal carport that he put up behind the home he is renting in Providence, R.I. The reason is because he lives in the College Hill Historic District, which requires approval before making any alterations to a home.

Here's what one neighbor had to say, via GoLocalWorcester.com (the site also shows the offending carport):

“We are affronted by the structure daily and can't wait for March to end! We like our neighbor, but wish this had not happened as we believe a good snow service would have solved the possible snow problem and saved a lot of money and aggravation. We sincerely hope the zoning regulations change in regard to temporary structures,” they said.

Fortunately for the angered group, the carport should be "coming down in February." However, in the future, such structures won't be approved. Did Danny unintentionally create the "Amendola Rule" in his town? It sure sounds like it.
