Cardinals coach suggests Bridgewater, Wallace not on same page

The Minnesota Vikings have not been very successful throwing the ball this season. Their passing offense currently ranks second to last in the NFL with an average of 179 yards per game -- only the St. Louis Rams are worse (178 YPG).

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for a Thursday night showdown against the Vikings, and head coach Bruce Arians can't believe the lack of productivity from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and wide receiver Mike Wallace. On Tuesday, Arians suggested that these two might not be on the same page, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

The Vikings traded for Wallace during the offseason, hoping that he would add a vertical dimension to the offense. That hasn't been the case, however, as the seventh-year veteran has been completely overshadowed by fifth-round rookie Stefon Diggs this season.

Wallace has 30 catches for 361 yards, while Diggs has reeled in a team-leading 42 grabs for 626 yards. The 29-year-old is supposed to be a terrifying deep threat, but his longest reception of the year was a 25-yarder in Week 13 (seven different Vikings have recorded catches longer than that). To top it all off, he has scored only one touchdown in 2015.

Arians was Wallace's offensive coordinator for his first three seasons in Pittsburgh, when he was averaging closer to 20 yards per reception. When they share a field again this Thursday, Arians might be surprised to see how far the once-threatening wideout has fallen.
