Mike Wallace doubles down on Stefon Diggs-Antonio Brown comparison

Mike Wallace thinks the Minnesota Vikings have something special in fellow wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and he wants everyone to know who called it first.

Back in August, Wallace compared Diggs, a fifth-round selection in this year's draft, to former teammate Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown led the league in receiving yardage last year (1,698), so the comparison came off as hyperbole at the time.

However, after Diggs' six-catch, 87-yard performance in his regular-season debut, Wallace may have been on to something. He took a moment to remind reporters of the comparison he made during training camp, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

"You look at a guy you can tell if they have it or not just from the start," Wallace said back in August. "He has it, man. He has that football capability -- great hands, speeds, routes are crazy.

"He's going to be good, man. He reminds me a lot of Antonio [Brown]."

Diggs has some big shoes to fill thanks to Wallace, but he seems to be up for the challenge. We'll see if the Vikings continue to work him in, even when starting wide receiver Charles Johnson (ribs) returns from his injury.
