Packers DC Capers issues warning about playing against Adrian Peterson

Published Nov. 17, 2015 2:30 p.m. ET

Dom Capers has seen enough of Adrian Peterson in his seven seasons as Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator to know that the Minnesota Vikings running back can be deadly.

With his Packers scheduled to face Peterson's Vikings this weekend, Capers issued the following warning, via Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media.

Peterson has played 14 games against the Packers since 2007 and has averaged 117.7 rushing yards per game. He has also scored 12 career touchdowns versus Green Bay. During his MVP season, All Day racked up over 500 yards in three games against the Cheeseheads (two in the regular season, one in the postseason).

While Peterson has experienced a ton of individual success when playing the Packers, his team hasn't fared as well. Green Bay has a 10-4-1 record against the Vikings when Peterson is playing, including the one playoff victory.

Fresh off a 200-yard outing and leading the NFL in rushing (961 yards), Peterson will look to reverse the losing trend against his NFC North rivals on Sunday.
