Ryan Tannehill excited about 'new things' Dolphins will do on offense

It's been nothing short of a disappointing season for the Miami Dolphins in 2015. They've fired three coaches, are in last place in the AFC East, and are a long shot to make the postseason.

The offense is one of the most unbalanced in the NFL, ranking dead last in rushing attempts per game despite being sixth in the league in yards per carry. Now, it's Zac Taylor's turn to call the plays following Bill Lazor's firing, and he seems to have players excited.

On Wednesday, Ryan Tannehill shared his thoughts on the changes being made to the offense. He's excited about the "new things" the Dolphins are going to do on offense. Additionally, he'll be a "part of the game plan" going forward, and will be more involved than he's been in the past.

When Taylor was named the Dolphins' new play caller, he vowed to run the ball more than Miami has this season. Over the past two weeks, Lamar Miller has just 12 carries for 46 yards compared to Tannehill's 82 pass attempts.

Taylor's first go at balancing the offense won't be easy. The Dolphins host the Baltimore Ravens this week, who boast the eighth-best run defense with regards to rushing yards per game allowed.
