Ryan Tannehill breaks NFL record for consecutive pass completions

While the Miami Dolphins were lighting up the scoreboard Sunday in a 44-26 win against the Texans, quarterback Ryan Tannehill was busy breaking some individual records.

Not only did he become the first player in the last 15 years to throw three touchdown passes of 50 or more yards in a half, but he also set a much more significant record.

Tannehill completed his first 18 passes of the game, which gave him 25 straight completions going back to last week's win against the Titans. That set a new NFL record for consecutive completions.

The previous record was held by Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles with 24, which he set in 2004.

Additionally, Tannehill set a single-game franchise record with his 18 consecutive completions.
