The trade between the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles is complete. The Eagles have sent linebacker Kiko Alonso, cornerback Byron Maxwell and the 13th pick in this year’s NFL Draft to the Dolphins in exchange for the eighth pick in the draft.
The deal was in danger of collapsing earlier Wednesday because of injury concerns. According to reports, however, it was Maxwell’s shoulder that was holding it up.
Maxwell played four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, the last as a starter, before joining the Eagles as a free agent. He started 14 games for Philadelphia and intercepted two passes.
Alonso, who is 25 years old, joined the Eagles as part of the blockbuster trade that sent LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills. He missed 2014 with a knee injury and played in just 11 games with the Eagles in 2015.
