Dolphins' Dan Campbell undecided on DC Kevin Coyle's future

The Miami Dolphins have begun making changes on the coaching staff, primarily by firing Joe Philbin and naming Dan Campbell the interim head coach.

Additionally, the Dolphins brought in Al Saunders as an offensive consultant to work alongside offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. While the offense certainly needed attention, the defense does as well.

Campbell has been handed the keys to do what he pleases with his staff, but he hasn't yet determined what changes he'll make. Specifically, he is undecided on defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle's future in Miami.

"Defensively I’m still looking," Campbell said via the Palm Beach Post. "I’m in the evaluation process. I feel like I’m turning every stone over of where we’re at."

The Dolphins reportedly offered the job to former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, but he declined. That alone is telling of which way Campbell is leaning, and it sounds like Coyle already has one foot out the door. That doesn't mean he's certainly going to be let go, but Campbell and the Dolphins are looking elsewhere in the meantime.
