Gerald McCoy isn’t one to brag or boast, that’s pretty obvious at this point. He also apparently sets some pretty big goals for himself, according to JoeBucsFan.com. Now, McCoy wasn’t the one to talk about his goals, but it was instead Lovie Smith who gave away the secret.
“Gerald had a great year but Gerald will tell you he has high goals, 15-plus sacks,” Lovie said. “You know, the great ones that we’ve had. The great one, Warren Sapp, those were the type of numbers he was talking about. Gerald was looking at those type numbers.”
Now, as mentioned by JoeBucsFan.com, the best season in terms of sacks to this point for McCoy came in 2013, when he tallied 9.5 sacks. It’s a lofty goal to set for yourself, but it’s good to see that McCoy is focused on huge things in 2015.
