The Chiefs even had a trick play on special teams that included a direct snap to Albert Wilson who streaked down the field for a TD. The play was made possible by a superb block by DJ Alexander to spring Wilson who wasn’t touched until the return man got a hand on him. The rest of the special teams units faired well in Atlanta as well after having helped get the win in Denver.
The player of the game, however, was Chiefs safety Eric Berry who made his return to his hometown. Berry certainly made the most of it as he had a pick 6 just before half and a pick two in the 4th quarter after the Falcons took a one-point lead. Berry said after the game he was emotional throughout and he definitely showed he’s the heart of this team.
