Lions sign 5 draftees, 12 undrafted players
ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) The Lions signed five of their seven picks in the recent draft and added 12 undrafted free agents Thursday.
Joining Detroit on four-year deals were cornerback Alex Carter (third round), defensive tackle Gabe Wright (fourth round), fullback Michael Burton (fifth round), cornerback Quandre Diggs (sixth round) and tackle Corey Robinson (seventh round).
The only 2015 draftees not signed by the Lions are their top two picks, guard Laken Tomlinson and running back Ameer Abdullah.
The undrafted rookies are quarterback Anthony Boone; guards Al Bond and Torrian Wilson; running backs Zach Zenner and Rasheed Williams; safeties Brian Suite and Isaiah Johnson; wide receivers Vernon Johnson and Desmon Lawrence; linebacker Kevin Snyder; tight end Casey Pierce; and placekicker Kyle Brindza.
