LeBron James calls Ezekiel Elliott the NFL MVP after huge game in Pittsburgh

“The King” heaps huge praise on Cowboys rookie running back Ezekeil Elliott.

Four time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James is an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan and Ohio native. After the Cowboy’s come from behind win in Pittsburgh, James had heavy praise for first year running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Following the win, LeBron sent out a tweet to his 33.5 million Twitter followers saying ‘Zeke was not only the Rookie of the Year, but the Most Valuable Player also. It takes one to know one, that’s for sure.

Elliott may not have the award locked up based on LeBron’s tweet, but he sure did make a case for it. ‘Zeke scored three touchdowns in the win and combined for 209 total yards (114 rushing and 95 receiving). His 32 yard score with nine seconds left put the Cowboys up 35-30 and locked up the win for Dallas.

His first touchdown came through the air from Dak Prescott. Pittsburgh was holding on to a 12-3 lead with 23 second left in the first quarter when Elliott took a screen pass 83 yards to the house and was untouched in the process.

‘Zeke’s second touchdown came in the fourth quarter with 1:55 left and the Cowboys down 24-23. He scored on a run from 14 yards out, putting the Cowboys up 29-24. They went for two, but failed to connect on a fade pattern to Dez Bryant.

Ezekiel Elliott became the first NFL running back to go over 1,000 yards for the season. He is on pace to break Eric Dickerson’s 1983 rookie rushing record of 1,808 yards.

Dak Prescott played great again, throwing for 319 yards and two scores. At this point in the Cowboys season, it is safe to say he will stay under center even if Tony Romo is healthy.

The Cowboys improved to 8-1 on the season and have won eight in a row. The Steelers fell to 4-5 and have their past four games.

Both teams will play this Sunday at 1:00 P.M, the Cowboys take on Baltimore at home and the Steelers will travel to Cleveland.
