Don’t tell Cleveland Browns backup quarterback Kevin Hogan he can’t get into the end zone on his own. Watch him force his way in from the 20 on the Bengals.

The Cleveland Browns are 0-6 and trailed the rival Cincinnati Bengals, 21-10 at halftime in Week 7. Cleveland doesn’t have the talent of most NFL teams, but the Browns continue to play so hard for new head coach Hue Jackson.

When starting quarterback Cody Kessler had to leave the game in the first half with a concussion, it wasn’t looking good for the Browns. It was made worse by a last-second Hail Mary touchdown catch by Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green at the end of the second quarter.

Former Stanford Cardinal signal-caller Kevin Hogan had to assume quarterbacking duties for the Browns. He was the fifth quarterback that Cleveland has used this season: Robert Griffin, III, Josh McCown, Kessler, and Charlie Whitehurst.

Hogan doesn’t care that he was the Browns’ fifth choice. Watch his will his way into the end zone on this outstanding run to make it a ball game.

Hogan is wheeling and dealing on this touchdown run. He shakes off a few tackles and power his way into the Bengals’ end zone for this impressive score. Hogan was a multi-year starter at Stanford, best known as the guy that replaced Andrew Luck in Palo Alto.

On that touchdown, Hogan looked a bit like his former Stanford teammate. Luck has shown an ability to run with authority in his five-year NFL career. Hogan doesn’t have the natural ability of Luck, but this guy plays with pure grit.

That is exactly the type of player Jackson wants on his rebuilding Browns team going forward. Cleveland may not win a game this year, but the Browns are still one of the most fun watches in all the NFL.
