Chiefs ink brother of former return ace, cut preseason star
Another Hakim will be juking defenders out in the state of Missouri.
On Wednesday, the Chiefs signed Saalim Hakim, the younger brother of former Rams return specialist Az Hakim, from the practice squad.
Hakim had previously played with the Jets, Lions, and Saints. He has experience at receiver, cornerback, and special teams — all need areas for his new 3-5 team.
K.C. was forced to part with preseason star receiver Frankie Hammond to make roster room. Hammond caught 10 passes for 109 yards in exhibition action last summer.
