Report: Manziel's ex-GF's ruptured eardrum could halt college graduation

Published Feb. 22, 2016 11:33 a.m. ET

A ruptured eardrum could prevent Colleen Crowley from graduating college on time, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

The former girlfriend of Johnny Manziel allegedly sustained the injury from a Jan. 30 incident at a Dallas hotel.

The Dallas police continue to investigate the allegations that the Cleveland Browns quarterback hit Crowley and offered up a brief update over the weekend.

"There has been no determination as to what charge, if any, will be filed against Mr. Manziel," Maj. Midge Boyle said.

According to the Dallas police department, they have obtained video surveillance from the hotel but still have not spoken to Manziel.

It has been widely expected that the Browns will release Manziel in March.
