Jets' Mangold shows improvement, but sits out practice again

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:09 p.m. ET

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) New York Jets center Nick Mangold sat out practice again, although his ailing ankle showed some signs of improvement.

Mangold, who has missed three games with a sprained right ankle, participated in warmups and position drills Thursday. He ran a little for the first time since being hurt against Baltimore on Oct. 23. Mangold did not participate in team drills Thursday, and his status for New York's game against New England on Sunday remains uncertain.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall (foot) and linebacker Bruce Carter (quadriceps) were limited.

Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa (neck) was a full participant after being limited Wednesday, while defensive tackle Steve McLendon (hamstring) was limited a day after not practicing. Cornerbacks Nick Marshall (ankle) and Marcus Williams (ankle) sat out Thursday.
