The Washington Redskins’ playoff hopes took a big hit Sunday after they squandered a fourth-quarter lead to the Arizona Cardinals in their 31-23 loss. And it appears their second consecutive loss isn’t sitting well with head coach Jay Gruden.

Reporters outside the Redskins locker room could hear Gruden ripping into his team, accusing them of not giving maximum effort in the week leading up to the game. Washington sits at 6-5-1 and faces a virtual must-win game against Philadelphia next Sunday, when the Redskins will have to rebound from their first string of losses since the first two weeks of the season.

The loss left the Redskins on the outside looking in for the postseason. But Gruden didn’t want to hear talk about playoffs, instead shifting the team's focus to the Eagles.
