The Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 16 game against the New Orleans Saints has been flexed by the NFL from a 1 p.m. start time to a 4:05 kickoff.
As ESPN’s Mike DiRocco notes the move allows the Jaguars to gain more exposure, as there are fewer matchups later in the day. The NFL began flex scheduling in 2006 to improve the quality of games between Weeks 5-17 of the season.
While both teams are currently 5-8, it promises to be an intriguing matchup for those who enjoy offense. Jacksonville is ninth in the NFL in scoring, averaging 25.1 points per game, while the Saints are 11th in league, averaging 24.1 point per game.
