Jaguars safety Evans in NFL's concussion protocol

Published Dec. 2, 2015 1:39 a.m. ET

The status of Jacksonville Jaguars safety Josh Evans for this week's game against the Tennessee Titans is uncertain after the veteran suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.

Per the Florida Times-Union, Evans is in the NFL's concussion protocol along with wide receiver Allen Hurns, who was hurt against the Chargers as well.

Evans has appeared in all 11 games this season, with seven starts and made 34 tackles along with one forced fumble.

Along with Evans and Hurns, the other Jaguars injured against San Diego include wide receiver Bryan Walters, who injured his lower back, cornerback Dwayne Gratz, who suffered a sprained ankle, and defensive end Ryan Davis, who is dealing with a sore knee.
