Jaguars looking for ways to get Denard Robinson involved

Published Oct. 29, 2015 12:23 a.m. ET

After running back Denard Robinson failed to get a carry in Jacksonville's 34-31 win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley acknowledged the team needs to find a way to get Robinson more involved moving forward.

“We talked about that as a staff,” Bradley said, per the Florida Times-Union. “We have to find a way to get him the ball.”

The reserve running back played 12 snaps on special teams against the Bills, but didn't play on offense.  Toby Gerhart saw the bulk of the carries behind starter T.J. Yeldon, with defensive tackle Tyson Alualu also carrying the ball once in his role as a fullback.

Robinson, Jacksonville's leading rusher last season, sat out three games after spraining his knee in the team's Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins.

He's carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards and caught five passes for 45 yards this season.
