WATCH: Jacksonville QB Bortles saves TD with diving tackle

Blake Bortles has a pretty promising future playing quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Bortles showed he has the makings of a decent safety as well.

Late in the second quarter, with the Jaguars trailing 14-3 and driving at the Atlanta one-yard line, Bortles was picked off by Falcons safety Kemal Ishmael, who took off the other way.

Bortles gave chase, fending off a would-be blocker to make a diving tackle a the Jacksonville 14-yard line.

The quarterback's effort saved a touchdown, as the Falcons we forced to kick a field goal to close out the half.
