Report: NFL to investigate Colts' injury reports

Published Nov. 1, 2015 6:13 p.m. ET

After a report by FOX Sports' Jay Glazer indicated indicated Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck has been playing with fractured ribs since Week 3, the NFL said it would examine whether the team violated league rules by not disclosing the injury.

Luck was listed as questionable for the Colts' games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and New England Patriots. He sat out against the Jaguars and Texans, but was able to play against the Patriots.

At no point, however, was the quarterback listed on any injury report as having a rib injury.

Per the Indianapolis Star, NFL spokesman Brian McCarty said the league would investigate if the Colts committed any sort of rules violation. In a statement issued by the team, general manager Ryan Grigson denied the team had done anything wrong.

"Our injury reports are accurate,” Grigson said. “If people have any questions about player injuries, they should refer to our injury reports.”
