As the Houston Texans prepare for their Week 15 showdown against the Indianapolis Colts, Houston defensive end Jared Crick said his team is well aware of the stakes involved.
The Texans, who have lost two straight, including Sunday’s 27-6 loss to the New England Patriots, are tied with the Colts for first place in the AFC South at 6-7. A win Sunday would give Houston sole possession of first place in the division and put them in prime position for a playoff spot.
Knowing the teams needs a win this week is one thing. Actually getting it is another, and for Houston, it would be unprecedented. The Texans have never won in Indianapolis in franchise history.
“We’ve got to get back on track,” Crick said. “We can’t dwell on Sunday’s game. Because this is the game, that’s really going to either put us in the driver’s seat or not, so all hands on deck. Everybody’s got to have a positive mentality. Guys were upbeat yesterday. We know that this is the game. Patriots game is over so we got to bring it this week.”
