Hillis active for Browns vs Bengals

Published Nov. 27, 2011 12:00 p.m. ET

Browns running back Peyton Hillis is active for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, making his return from a chronic hamstring injury.

Hillis missed the last six games with a severely strained left hamstring. He didn't practice last week but was listed as questionable on Friday after he showed improvement. Coach Pat Shurmur decided to wait until before the game to decide whether he's active. Hillis isn't in the starting lineup.

Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap is inactive for the second time in three games with a hamstring injury. Adam Jones starts at right cornerback for the second game in a row. He's filling in for Leon Hall, out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles tendon.
