Hey, rookies, it’s in the game: Your Madden numbers aren’t what you think

If you’ve ever played a Madden NFL game, you’d know that each player has various ratings and that the developers are tough when it comes to determining them.

Apparently, this year’s incoming rookies didn’t realize that.

Polygon noted that in last year’s Madden NFL 25, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy and New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson — the offensive and defensive Rookies of the Year last season — were only rated 82 and 86 overall, respectively. And only eight second-year players broke into the 90s.

Needless to say, the numbers these rookies were shown likely were very humbling.
