Jennings (groin) inactive against Bears
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is inactive for Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Jennings, who tweaked his groin on the final series of the Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers, was listed as doubtful on the injury report but was trying to play through the pain. Jennings had five catches for 34 yards before the injury.
According to multiple reports, Jennings had a 50-50 chance of playing leading into game time.
Although Jennings’ presence will be missed in the offense, the Packers will look for a collaborative effort from James Jones, Donald Driver and second-year receiver Randall Cobb.
Jennings, whose contract expires at the end of the 2012 season, also missed time in the preseason because of a concussion.
